Review
I’ve been wanting to read this book ever since I watched the 1997 movie by the same name. There are other Carl Sagan books I’ve wanted to read since as well. But alas!
This book tells the story of the first human contact with alien life in the universe and how it may turn out. It does not go into too much detail though, when compared to The three-body problem for example.
The book is verbose though. It is hard science fiction - perhaps a little too dense at times. And that’s coming from me.
I knew about the major beats of the story (though there were some changes), so it wasn’t as surprising to me. But I enjoyed it nonetheless.

I am reading Carl Sagan's Contact right now. It is a short book, and a book I've been wanting to read since I watched the 1997 movie by the same name. The book is narrated by Jodie Foster (the actress who plays the titular character in the movie).
