I finally watched Maharaja this week on Netflix. I also watched 3 body problem. I had been meaning to watch both since long. Both of them did not disappoint in the least bit.

On my walk Tuesday, I spotted a buck on my trail.

Also, a beautiful sunset over the beach.

Apple will be holding the iPhone event on September 9. Every year it feels like you already know what to expect in the event. Everything is already leaked. There are more interesting things in the next year event perhaps (hello iPhone 17 slim).

But still Apple manages to surprise in a way or two.

This year's focus would be on the new Apple Intelligence Siri. They will also be adding a Capture button on the side of the phone. As if we needed any more proof that the phones we carry in our pockets are more cameras than phones!

It would be fun if they announce a new iPad mini. But don't think they will.

There will be the new watches and maybe new AirPods.

Hello, you’re here because you compared AI image editing to Photoshop

I talked about the what is a photo apocalypse last time around. This post talks about the same stuff.

Hope and disparity: a colorful new way to visualize air quality around the world

The unfortunate reality is that 99 percent of the world’s population live in places with air quality that’s worse than the World Health Organization’s guideline for PM2.5. Cities in low and middle-income countries in parts of South Asia and Africa are particularly hard-hit, the Air Quality Stripes researchers find. Air quality in Delhi, India, and Abuja, Nigeria, has climbed toward “extremely poor” and “very poor,” respectively, since the 1970s, for example

Just go and look at New Delhi's graph. It's just so sad.

Nature shouldn’t be a privilege, it should be accessible to everyone.

So many things that the western world takes for granted are a dream for the developing world.

Removing stuff is never obvious yet often better

It is important to scope our work properly. Sometimes it's better to cut things to make things better.
